SCHUCO PHÄNOMENAL 5503, BOXED
Mercedes Benz 230 SL, convertible. Red. NM.
Made in Western Germany. First version with the rare
"look-through" plexi glass / plastic motor cover which
allows you to look into the small electro motor at
the back of the car. This version is also rare because
it has the cream colored front and cream colored convertible cover.
Later this was changed for economic reasons by Schuco.
The later versions came without this.
Comes with box, manual and accessories apart from steering cable.
Battery powered.

Original old Schuco tin toy from the early 50'es.
This is the second version with horn, search lamp
and the rare heavy build truck tires that were
removed on the later versions due to reduction of
production costs.
A brilliant piece of toy art.

SCHUCO COMBINATO 4003
MADE IN U.S. ZONE GERMANY
A rare toy. The Schuco Combinato features most of
the technically inventive actions that made the
Schuco label world famous.
This car has a fully working steering wheel,
a working horn, a four-shift gear system,
a build in tacho meter to show which gear
your actually driving in plus the scale speed
AND a hand brake. ALL this without any
use of batteries - only two strong wind-up
spring drives. Incredible!
This one is in what most would grade MINT.
We are conservative and say NM.
Comes with original box and manual and
the more rare black baseplate.

Incredible - but true. All this made possible
only by wind-up.
The car is in a rare light blue color and as close to mint
as you'll possibly find them.
